Stats #25: What Do All These Numbers Mean? Regression Coefficients

Content:  This two hour training class will teach you to interpret results from linear and logistic regression models. This class is useful for anyone who is involved with producing or interpreting medical research.

Objectives:  In this class you will learn how to:

• Interpret the slope coefficient in a linear regression model,
• Identify problems with extrapolation in linear regression, and
• Explain why the logistic regression model uses log odds units.

Teaching strategies:  Didactic lectures and small group exercises.

IRB Education Credits:  This class does not qualify for IRB Education Credits (IRBECs).
