Steve, Cathy, and Nicholas -- Steve's running log: Long loop route (created 2012-12-16) |
Long loop (about 4.8K). This is a long route with two big hill and two medium size hills. If I have the time and energy for it, it is a very pretty run. I head out from my normal starting point of 148th Street near the Pavilions swimming pool. I run towards Mission Road and turn north. I run down "no brake" hill and cross to the opposite side at the bottom of the hill. Then I double back a short distance to the entrance to Ironwoods Park. I run downhill into Ironwoods Park past the children's playground. Then I head up a short hill to the north end of the park and run along a paved trail towards the eastern edge of the park. I head south and head up a very steep hill near the southwest corner of the park. I run along the south edge of the park. It makes a long loop around the park and through some beautiful wooded areas. I head uphill out of Ironwoods Park, then uphill on "no brake" hill. Then I turn on 148th Street and return to my starting point.
The black circle represents the most recent run.
